The white sneakers are part of the scene
Your portraits supply the dog’s appearance and the adult’s visible clothes. The reference’s white sneakers are an exception: they stay as a fixed pair of props because the adult removes them and the dog picks them up.
The dog and adult exchange screen positions as the handheld camera follows them. Their identities stay with their roles, including reflections in the gold elevator walls; a reflection is not a third character slot.

Yes. The dog keeps its own face, ears, coat, markings and tail instead of inheriting the reference golden retriever’s appearance.

Does the adult keep their clothes?+
